2400 kg of Dead Chicken Intercepted in Punjab. Khushab police have seized 2,400 kilograms (60 mann) of dead chickens after intercepting a suspicious vehicle at the Jaba check post during routine patrolling, according to ARY News.

Suspicious Vehicle Stopped During Patrolling

Police officials said the vehicle was stopped for checking during routine patrol duty. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a large quantity of dead chickens loaded inside.

The driver was immediately taken into custody and shifted to the police station for further investigation.

Illegal Meat Supply to Hotels and Fast-Food Outlets

According to police, the vehicle was heading towards Naushera, and the dead chickens were allegedly meant to be supplied as illegal meat to various hotels and fast-food outlets.

Officials warned that such practices pose serious health risks, as meat from dead animals is unsafe for human consumption and can spread dangerous diseases.

Not the First Incident, Police Say

Authorities noted that this was not an isolated case. Similar incidents involving the transportation and sale of meat from dead animals have been reported repeatedly in different parts of the country.

Police believe unethical groups are involved in selling such meat to restaurants and food centres to cut costs, putting public health at risk.

Public Health Concerns Raised

Health experts warn that consuming meat from dead animals can lead to severe food poisoning, infections, and long-term health complications. Police have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious food handling or transportation activities.
