Not the First Incident, Police Say
Authorities noted that this was not an isolated case. Similar incidents involving the transportation and sale of meat from dead animals have been reported repeatedly in different parts of the country.
Police believe unethical groups are involved in selling such meat to restaurants and food centres to cut costs, putting public health at risk.
Public Health Concerns Raised
